I slowly became aware of the sound quality differences between the various inputs of the N-50a. This way, the N-70A/N-50A will be deployed as a high-end asynchronous USB DAC, which accepts DSD signals (2.8 MHz/5.6 MHz) and PCM signals up to 384 kHz. It is not connected to my home network, I use it as an external DAC to my my CD player through the Dig-In input and I play all kinds of files stored on a few USB pen drives using the n-50a USB front and rear inputs. I own the N-50a now for about two years and I'm very happy with it's functioning.
